Abstract:
Este trabalho apresenta quatro momentos da obra de Henri Lefebvre (1901-1991): o momento marxista, o momento vida cotidiana, o momento cidade e o momento do Estado, da autogestão, das representações e dos ritmos sociais. Este último refere-se a sua produção teórica dos anos setenta até o final de sua vida. Ao mesmo tempo, busco apresentar o autor e suas obras a um público mais amplo do que participou do evento que organizei em 2006 (Colóquio Internacional), na FURG/PPGEA (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande/Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Ambiental). O texto partiu das anotações da conferência do autor no evento e foi ampliado com outros estudos, constituindo-se, portanto, em uma introdução que teve prosseguimento em outros trabalhos. Na primeira parte, apresento um breve histórico do vivido de Lefebvre e os momentos de sua produção com algumas obras de referência; em segundo, apresento as obras publicadas no Brasil para, ao final, tecer algumas considerações sobre o apresentado e os trabalhos futuros.
This paper introduces four periods in Henri Lefebvre’s work (1901-1991), namely, the Marxist, everyday life, the city, and, finally, the State, self-management, representations and social rhythm. The fourth period refers to his theoretical production from the 70’s to his death. I also aim at introducing the author and his work to a broader audience, besides the one that attended the International Colloquium that I organized in the Post graduation Program in Environmental Education at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande in 2006. This text is based on notes I made on the speech the author gave in this event and on other studies in order to write an introduction which was expanded in other papers. The first part presents a brief record of Lefebvre’s life and the periods in which he writes important books whereas the second part presents the books that have been published in Brazil. After that, I make some final remarks and mention future work.
