Abstract:
Tomar a literatura como fonte histórica requer uma série de cuidados, decorrentes do fato de se estar lidando com uma fonte bastante peculiar, uma fonte simbólica, na qual a História se faz presente por meio da mediação da linguagem criadora da literatura. A opacidade intrínseca à toda obra de arte não pode ser desconsiderada na interpretação da História contida na fonte literária. Este trabalho apresentará a possibilidade de se tomar como documento a literatura produzida por autores como Ferréz e Paulo Lins, cujos textos fornecem uma contundente interpretação dos impasses sociais e culturais presentes no Brasil contemporâneo dos anos 90 até o presente
