Abstract:
O presente artigo objetiva realizar um breve resgate histórico dos 120
anos da Guerra Civil de 1893, também conhecida como Revolução
Federalista. Abordaremos uma parcela da historiografia sobre o tema;
os dois grupos políticos envolvidos no conflito (republicanos e
federalistas); os antecedentes, as fases da guerra e, por fim, seus
desdobramentos.
This paper aims to conduct a brief historical review of 120 years of the
Civil War of 1893, also known as the Federalist Revolution, in
southern Brazil. The study covers a part of the historiography on the
subject, the two political groups involved in the conflict (Republicans
and Federalists), and the background, the phases of the war and its
consequences.
